🌟Meet Karyn Backhus🌟 👩‍🏫 New to Emmanuel-Faith this year, Ms. Backhus brings her vibrant energy to our 6th grade class! It's her first year here, and she's already making waves! 🌊 What does she love most? The students! 😄🎉 6th graders are fun, hilarious, adventurous, and inquisitive. Every day is a chance to share faith while learning and growing together. 📚🙏 Her journey to Emmanuel-Faith has been filled with twists and turns. After graduating from Concordia, Karyn directed preschool at St. Paul’s in Utica then embraced the role of a stay-at-home mom for 5 years before a short time at DHHS. When God nudged her heart again, she knew it was time to return to the classroom. And here she is, making a difference in the lives of our students; right where she is meant to be! 🌈 Karyn is blessed with four children. Timothy is headed off to the Marine Corps this year, Daniel is 16, James is 11, and Abigail is 8. Our last day of school is on Thursday, May 16th. It is a full day of school with school-provided sack lunch, a regular 3pm dismissal, and normal bus service. The Closing Service is at 6:30 that evening and attendance by all students is expected; families are welcome, too!
